Under the Surface

2019. Mixed media: acrylic, aluminum and stainless steel,  2200(W)x5800(D)mm.

Hundreds of plates made of reflective material that are aligned regularly under the rectangular opening in the ceiling create a changing wave-like movement.

The light and shadow also ripple beautifully under the constantly changing movement.

矩形にくり抜かれた頭上の空間には、多数の短冊状の反射素材が規則正しく連なり、常に変わりゆく波のような動きが形つくられる。

その絶えずゆらぎ続ける動きのもと、光と影もまた美しく波打つ。
