inaudible voices

2010. Mist.　

The voices it's not supposed to exist.

A faint white glowing shape hovers in the dark space. As you walk towards the light, the surface layer is covered with mist and is slowly and quietly changing. Its appearance is very calm. As you get closer, it scatters for a moment. It seems like the presence of people, like something alive.

There are traces of people who once existed in the exhibition space. I still feel "presence" from the uninhabited building, and I wanted to visualize it.

You might be able to hear voices that are not supposed to hear.

聞こえないはずの声

真っ暗な空間にうっすらと白光した形が浮かんでいる。光の方へ歩みを進めると、表層は霧で覆われ、光の中でゆっくりと静かに変化している。その様相とても穏やかだ。さらに近づくと、一瞬激しくざわめく。人の気配を感じる生あるもののように。

かつて存在した人々の形跡が残る展示場所。無人の建物からは今もなお「気配」を感じ、私はその「気配」を視覚化したいと思った。

聞こえないはずの声が聞こえるかもしれない。
