In the Wind

2021. PP/PE line, Variable.

In the Wind is an installation of three hundred mirrored PP/PE lines inspired by a vineyard on a slope in Yamanashi Prefecture. The lines, which reflect the surrounding scenery and light, sway and change constantly with the wind. The various phenomena created by the work are similar to the pleasant sensations I felt under the grape arbor before the harvest.

「In the Wind」は、ミラー加工されたPP・PEライン300本を張り、山梨県の傾斜地に広がる葡萄畑からインスピレーションを受けたインスタレーション作品。周りの景色を映し、光を反射させるラインは、風により揺らぎ常に変化を見せる。作品が生み出す様々な現象は、収穫前の葡萄棚下で私が感じた心地よい感覚に似ている。
